As  long time fan of The Norwegian electronica duo Royksopp and of Swedish pop songstress Robyn you can imagine my excitement when I discovered that Robyn and Svein Berge, Torbjørn Brundtland of Royksopp were working on a project together.

Its has arrived and I have spent a fair while digesting their handiwork and my first reaction is why the hell did they just make a mini album I could do with so much more.

But my personal greed aside ‘Do It Again’ is one of my favourite albums of the summer so far, ‘ Monument is an outstanding tune with its deep throbbing bassline and its melancholic vocal about self definition.

‘Say It’ has that Daft Punk Technologic quality of man manipulating machines into himself, and with its pulsing 303 acid house sound it kicks like a mule.

Then you have the title track ‘Do It Again’ which is just an out and out hooky big room anthem, I will be very surprised if this one doesn’t end up as the most played track to the summer of 2014.

There is a bit of everything on this album as we get to the downtempo goodness of ‘Every little thing’ which is another beautifully written song  by Robyn, she is a complete master at writing infectious and melodic songs which seem to sink into your pores and make your spine tingle.

To top it all off we get the post club chillout instrumental ‘Inside the Idle Hour Club’ which is just a symphony of interweaving melodies bringing you back down to baseline.

A great release from this fledgling Scandinavian supergroup, I hope there is more of this in the pipeline.
