Mark Hill of the seminal Garage duo Artful Dodger now know solely as Artful continues his resurgence with an EP titled ‘Unfinished Business’ due sometime mid Jan 2013. As a taster of what’s to come we have ‘Architect’ a sublime 2 Step Garage banger drenched with the soulful vocals of Cairo.
As a sound smith Mark Hill is in a class above the rest, he crafts songs that move you physically and emotionally and has a good ear for fresh new voices. When ‘Artful Dodger’ split up at the height of the UKG boom in the noughties, I was completely devastated as I had been following them since their early bootlegging days.
With Artful Mark now firing a salvo of warning shots with Could Just be the Bassline’ and now ‘Architect’ I can barely contain my excitement of what is yet to come.
