K Koke – Turn Back

Roc Nation’s first UK signing K Koke delivers a blinder in his new single ‘Turn Back’. Sampling Sting’s ‘The Shape of my heart’ as Nas did on ‘The Message’, the 27 year old delivers a heart wrenching tale of growing up on the roads.

Having previously heard K Koke dropping hard and intense rhymes it’s good to hear him drop something emotional and heartfelt making him altogether more human and not just a dark off Stonebridge man spitting fury at the world.

Knowing what his ends are like I don’t doubt any of these tales of hustling and hardship, coupled with the treacly tones of Maverick Sabre on the hook this track is easily on a fast track to being a shotta’s anthem.
